- Superintendent of Port Angeles Schools Marc Jackson administered the oath of office to the two new student representatives to the board of directors at the board’s regular meeting on Thursday, February 9 held at the Central Services building. Lillian Eyl, a senior at Lincoln High School, and Kristin Kirkman, a senior at Port Angeles High School, will serve as representatives to the board through June 2017.
Student representatives to the board will report to the board about events and issues at their respective high schools and likewise, report to the high school staff and students, what is happening on the district level. They will not vote on board action items.
Eyl and Kirkman took the following oath:
“I so solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution and Laws of the United States and Laws of the State of Washington, and will to the best of my judgement, skill and ability, truly, faithfully, diligently and impartially perform the duties of the office of Port Angeles School District Student Representative to the Board of Directors in and for Clallam County, Washington, as such duties are prescribed by law and policy, so help me God.”
