Kelly Lovall
Director (Drama, General)
Kelly Lovall received her undergraduate degree in English and Theatre Arts, with dual emphasis in Acting and Directing, from Western Washington University. She received her Master in Teaching, with an emphasis in social justice, from Evergreen State College. She has been the Drama Coach, Director, and Advisor here at Port Angeles High School since 2002 and has directed over 45 plays at the high school and the surrounding community. She considers herself privileged to have had the opportunity to teach what she loves while working with such amazing students of drama.
With the growing student interest in the Theatre Arts, Kelly looks forward to working with other faculty to grow the performing arts program here at Port Angeles High School. She envisions a thriving cross-curricular program that includes students in acting, music, technical theatre, and art and design that encompasses all student interests.
One of her greatest joys is spending time with her husband, two children, three dogs, and three cats. She loves to hike around the Peninsula, ride her bike, cook new and unusual food dishes, movie nights with her family, and writing. She loves teaching English to 10th and 11th graders and has immense admiration and respect for the level of care and commitment of the teachers and staff with whom she works
